We have quorum
Quorum is majority, there are 3/5 officers present
Minutes were unanimously approved
Mitch states he plans on running for Kettering Mayor in 2025 (next cycle)
Most of the post cards were filled out at the last social
There's still a few more to fill out
Joe & Mike filled some out during this meeting
The intent is to send them out the week between Christmas and New Years so they'll arrive early next year
We still need to buy postage.
Petition signatures
This is for the Presidential ticket next year
as an independent, not as Libertarian
We couldn't get anyone to collect signatures during early voting
Bill Redpath will pay for people to get signatures?
Mitch says Kettering plans to ban marijuana dispensaries in response to Issue 2 (the "regulate marijuana like alcohol" issue) passing
Josh says we need to start thinking about a 2024 Q1 event (January - March)
Mitch says he'll work on that
Mike to send in next email about signing up to be a delegate to the national convention on the state website
Josh says we need more donors and bigger donors.

Chase is running for candidate for the LPO President ticket.

Josh brought up the topic of potential 4th quarter events:

Mike brought a petition to hold a special election
This is primarily to elect a new chair.
Petition allows election of other officers as needed.
The motion was passed unanimously
Mitchel Johnson sent us an email asking if we're interested in hearing him talk about his run for Kettering Mayor
comments on the Dayton Pride Event on June 3:
all thought it went well
it was a learning experience
we should bring more water next time
we should get two (adjacent) booths next time for more room
spent less than half of our budget
we spent maybe $140 out of a budget of around $600
we did have in-kind donations such as the affiliate-in-a-box that cost over $100
events committee
we already have an events committee, except that no one is on it
J Anthony made a motion to have a pride committee
this motion was mostly ignored
Josh was appointed head of events committee
i.e. the sole member
Josh suggested we have quarterly events
Josh to make SOP about spending & reimbursements
this to include mentioning conflicts of interest

Special Election for At-Large Vacancy
Robby Spangler and Dan Zink were nominated from the floor
Josh Umbaugh was appointed Acting Secretary by the Chair
The first election resulted in a tie in the second round
Dan Zink was elected with 4 votes in a revote
Mike Lopez has been unable to contact AFP and will reach out through other contacts
Discussed the need to find a new venue for socials more centrally located
Erin Umbaugh, Josh Umbaugh, and Mike Lopez accepted appointments to the Pride Booth Committee by the Chair. The Pride Booth Committee will present a budget proposal for a booth at Dayton Pride 2023 at the February meeting.
The website needs updated to accept donations. Mike Lopez will consult with LPO IT.
Josh Umbaugh has been appointed to the Miamisburg Citizens Urban Forestry Advisory Board by the Miamisburg City Council.
Miamisburg has 2 seats open and Miami Township has 1 seat and the fiancial officer open in 2023. J'Anthony Williams asked for candidates to run for these offices.
